		<description>I agree, but wonder if Apple&#039;s competitors would take a similar position if they were in Apple&#039;s position. Based on Microsoft and Google&#039;s actions in other areas, I&#039;m certain they would. By trying to control a market (phones, mobile ads), Apple is doing what all corporations want to do - its not good for competition, but its natural.

The success of the iPhone App Store is directly related to its egalitarianism. Apple would never take, &#039;lock stock and barrel,&#039; iPhone apps away from the third party developers who create them. It&#039;s not in their self interest.

While I share your concerns, as a (once) long-suffering Apple user who for 20 years railed against the &#039;monopolistic abuse of power&#039; by Microsoft, I catch your drift, but think you&#039;re worrying a lot about nothing. (I hope I don&#039;t eat my words.)</description>
