It’s almost comical now. Apple is really getting silly. According to PC Week Apple has banned the word ‘Android’ in apps submitted to the App Store. The article has a great summary of the evil doings of Apple around the iPhone so I won’t reproduce it here. But it’s clear that Apple is feeling a lot of pressure from Android. I think we are seeing the opening shots of a much bigger business war. And actually, that can be a good thing for us consumers since ultimately better products will come to market.

I’m a huge Apple fan but even I agree that this type of behavior is sickening. Talk about going from “we want the data free” to “we want to control every aspect of the data”
Apple has certainly been going backwards in that area lately

Once the giant IPOD (IPAD) is released I suppose they will ban “Tablet PC”.
Apple waves the ban hammer again, this time banning an education app because the app used the word “android” in it’s decription. The guy was simply trying to explain in his app descr that the app did good in an android apps competition so that people would try it out. Apple’s communistic approach continues.
